After conducting a thorough technical audit of the website, we identified key areas for improvement. Our strategic approach focused on enhancing the user experience, optimising location-specific content, and improving search visibility.
Key actions taken included:
- Location Page Audit: We conducted a full audit of the existing location pages, identifying underperforming pages and those representing locations no longer serviced by Groom Hire. These pages were removed to streamline the site and eliminate unnecessary content that was not contributing to local rankings.
- Creation of New Location Pages: We designed and developed new, user-friendly location pages, focusing on delivering essential information in a clear, concise manner. Each page included:
- Opening hours
- Contact information
- Accessibility details
- Location-specific team information
- Social proof, such as location-specific testimonials
- Local Schema Markup: To improve the relevance and visibility of these pages in local search results, we implemented structured data using local business schema, ensuring search engines could better understand and rank the pages for local queries.
- Google Business Profile Optimisation: In tandem with the changes to the website, we audited and updated Groom Hire’s Google Business Profiles. This included aligning the profiles with the new content and ensuring consistency across all locations, helping to increase clicks and engagement from local search.
Our strategic approach successfully addressed Groom Hire’s local search challenges, resulting in a significant increase in both online traffic and appointment bookings.
